Terms and conditions

The terms every Muvers job is carried out under. Written to be read, not to be survived.

Last updated 16 August 2026

  1. These terms

These terms apply to every move, storage arrangement and related service supplied by Muvers. Accepting a quotation, paying a deposit, or letting our crew begin work means you accept them.

Where a written quotation says something different from these terms, the quotation applies for that job.

  2. Quotations

Quotations are based on the information you give us and, where one has taken place, on what our surveyor saw. They are valid for 14 days from the date of issue.

If what is actually moving differs from what was quoted, for example extra items, an extra stop, or access that was described as lift landing and turns out to be a stair carry, we will price the difference at the same rates and agree it with you before the work continues.

  3. Booking and deposit

A date is confirmed when the deposit is paid. The deposit is 30% of the quoted total unless the quotation states otherwise. Until it is received the slot remains available to other customers.

  4. Access, parking and permits

You are responsible for telling us the correct floor, lift and access details for both addresses, and for arranging resident access on the day.

Where a building requires a permit, a deposit cheque, or a booked service lift, we can arrange it and the administrative fee appears as its own line on the quotation. If access is not available at the agreed time, waiting time is charged in 30 minute blocks at the rate shown on your quotation.

  5. What the price includes

Loading, transport, unloading and placement in the room of your choice. Protective wrapping for furniture. Dismantling and reassembly of standard furniture such as beds, wardrobes and dining tables.

It does not include work that needs a licensed trade: electrical disconnection, plumbing, air conditioning, or removing built-in carpentry and wall mountings.

  6. Goods we do not carry

We do not move hazardous or flammable goods including gas cylinders, paint, solvents and fuel; perishable food; live plants or animals; or anything unlawful.

Cash, jewellery, personal documents, medication and small valuables should travel with you. We are not able to accept responsibility for these in transit.

  7. Your responsibilities

Please empty and defrost appliances, disconnect anything that needs a trade to disconnect, and make sure cartons you packed yourself are properly sealed and safe to lift.

Tell us in advance about any item that is unusually heavy, fragile or valuable so the right equipment and crew are sent.

  8. Care of your goods

Our crew records the condition of the load and, for specialist pieces, photographs it at both ends. Please check your goods before the crew leaves.

Report any loss or damage to the crew lead on the day, and confirm it to us in writing within 3 working days, so we can inspect the item. We will repair it, replace it, or credit its value, at our option.

We cannot accept responsibility for the contents of cartons packed by you, for pre-existing wear or defects, for goods that are inherently fragile and were declined for wrapping, or for loss caused by circumstances outside our reasonable control.

  9. Delays and events outside our control

Timings are estimates. Where weather, traffic, building restrictions, or another party causes a delay, we will keep you informed and complete the job as soon as it is safe to do so. Where a job cannot be completed on the day for those reasons, any additional trip is quoted before it is carried out.

  10. Cancellation and postponement

Give us at least 48 hours notice to postpone and the deposit transfers to the new date, once.

Cancelling with less than 48 hours notice, or after the crew has been dispatched, means the deposit is retained to cover the reserved crew and vehicle.

  11. Storage

Storage is charged monthly in advance on the volume measured at collection, subject to the monthly minimum shown on your quotation. Collection and redelivery are separate jobs and are quoted separately.

Give 30 days notice to end a storage arrangement. Goods are released once all outstanding charges have been paid.

  12. Payment

The balance is due on completion, before the crew leaves the final address, unless credit terms have been agreed in writing. We accept PayNow, bank transfer and cash. GST is charged where applicable and shown separately on the invoice.

  13. Your personal data

We collect your name, contact details and address information for the purpose of quoting and carrying out your move, and we keep it in line with the Personal Data Protection Act. We do not sell it or pass it to anyone other than the crew and subcontractors working on your job.

To ask what we hold, or to have it deleted, write to hello@muvers.sg.

  14. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Singapore, and the courts of Singapore have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.
